And that night when Bill didn't answer the phone, The neighbors found them lying alone. A tired old cowboy who'd finished his work. And a faithful horse who had niver shirked. Together they lived, together they died; In death as in life, side by side.

I thought that this picture would match stanza 11 because it is as if they were dying together, fading away, forever, from the world.
